Complementary Living is about living by the seasons, Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer.

It includes posts on things like land, animals, plants, recipes and other ways of living in sync with what is native.  “Native,” as in ancient traditions of native people whose spirituality was much more in tune with the natural cycles, and “native” as in plants and animals originating from around here. I’m interested in native things because I am sure there is wisdom for living worth exploring in these ancient traditions for living in balance–ecological balance, balance with each other, balance within ourselves.

If you are interested in exploring how we might take what we’ve learned over the last 10,000 years and more, and pair it with some of the ancient wisdom we may have inadvertently discarded, I’d love to hear from you and have you comment and share your own ideas.
